Construction of the TV Tower, which took place night and day, began on September 19, 1953, and was completed on June 19, 1954.

It is impressive that the skyline of Sakae, Nagoya’s central area, which is today obstructed by tall buildings, can be seen over a wide area here.

Many people came and formed a long line to be the ones to go up the first broadcasting steel tower in Japan.
